A Men’s Guide To Wearing Pink

We have all heard the phrase “Real men wear pink”. Honestly, the color doesn’t make you anymore of a man or any less of a man. Most men are intimidated by the color pink. They believe it feminizes there masculinity, while it shows attributes others may find enticing. Pink exudes confidence, charisma and style. I challenge you to add a splash of pink to your wardrobe in a few easy steps.

The Right Pink For Your Skin Tone

An essential key to pulling of pink is making sure the shade of pink compliments your skin tone.  A lighter hue compliments darker skin tones and a darker hue compliments lighter shades of skin.

Add touches of pink

If your trying to get your pink feet wet, I would suggest adding a touch of pink to your garments until your ready to jump in the deep end. Try adding a splash of pink using items such as: Ties, Handkerchief, Pin lapels or Pink Socks.

Use Complimentary Colors

There are many colors that compliment pink well. In order to prevent yourself from looking like a bottle of Pepto-Bismol lol I would suggest you use your complimentary colors in a way to quieten the loudness that the pink may give off. Here are some complimentary tones that work well with pink: Navy Blue, Grey, Black, White, and green.

Darken Accessories

Another way to tone the pink down in your outfit is to pair the pink with dark shoes, belts, hats and wrist watches. Taking this action takes some attention away from the pink in your ensemble.

Confidence is Key

The confidence is like the period at the end of a sentence. It gives off an aroma everyone can smell and adds to the statement your guaranteed to make when wearing pink.

Cheers!

Hey guys! One thing is for sure. I can guarantee a Longline Cardigan will add the appeal your wardrobe needs. This was my first outfit to kick off fall fashion, so I am super excited to share this “Saulcey” piece with you all. Digging through my fashion filled closet I thought of a simple but brilliant idea. I decided to combine a black and white longline cardigan with white skinny jeans and black chelsea boots. I topped it off with my favorite black fedora. With longline garments, Just remember to keep it simple.

Have a Great Day!

Tweed Blazer For The Fall

Every Gentleman should own a tweed blazer. The rough woolen fabric is perfect for keeping you warm during the fall and winter months. But most of all it’s a stylish and a very flexible garment. In this outfit, I combined the Tweed blazer with corresponding gray pants and chose a white dress shirt to compliment the lighter threads of tweed in the blazer. The black accessories added great detail and were in tune with the different hues of grey making this a fashionable outfit on the day.

Are there any changes you would make in this outfit?

Pants: Pacsun

Tie: JC Penney

Simple But Effective

Simplicity can be key when assembling your wardrobe. I love colors that contrast greatly and look good together. Today, I paired a red polka dot button down shirt with navy blue chinos. I decided to put red shoe strings in my wingtip dress shoes to add a little more detail to the outfit. Honestly, the moss green hat color isolates it from the red and blue garments, however the details in the red feather on the side of the fedora causes you to be oblivious to the color of the hat because it compliments the shirt and the shoestring so well. Remember, minor details can make and outfit!

American Gangster

This outfit is my rendition of the movie American Gangster. Here is a couple of things I learned in addition to being a fashionable Gangster lol.

  1. “The most important thing in business is honesty, integrity, hard work and family. Never forget where you come from”
  2. “The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room”

Say It With Style

There is a quote that says “Style: Because your personality isn’t the first thing people see”

What do you want people to think when they view you?  I feel my style says that I am refined, modish and full of charisma. Basically, It’s a way to speak for myself without actually having to speak. I never want to give a false impression of myself in anyway. I want individuals to always know what type of person they’re dealing with. I am very neat and organized when it comes to all aspects of my life, and it shows through my style lol.

What does your style say about you?

Peace!
