A Men’s Guide To Wearing Pink

We have all heard the phrase “Real men wear pink”. Honestly, the color doesn’t make you anymore of a man or any less of a man. Most men are intimidated by the color pink. They believe it feminizes there masculinity, while it shows attributes others may find enticing. Pink exudes confidence, charisma and style. I challenge you to add a splash of pink to your wardrobe in a few easy steps.

The Right Pink For Your Skin Tone

An essential key to pulling of pink is making sure the shade of pink compliments your skin tone.  A lighter hue compliments darker skin tones and a darker hue compliments lighter shades of skin.

Add touches of pink

If your trying to get your pink feet wet, I would suggest adding a touch of pink to your garments until your ready to jump in the deep end. Try adding a splash of pink using items such as: Ties, Handkerchief, Pin lapels or Pink Socks.

Use Complimentary Colors

There are many colors that compliment pink well. In order to prevent yourself from looking like a bottle of Pepto-Bismol lol I would suggest you use your complimentary colors in a way to quieten the loudness that the pink may give off. Here are some complimentary tones that work well with pink: Navy Blue, Grey, Black, White, and green.

Darken Accessories

Another way to tone the pink down in your outfit is to pair the pink with dark shoes, belts, hats and wrist watches. Taking this action takes some attention away from the pink in your ensemble.

Confidence is Key

The confidence is like the period at the end of a sentence. It gives off an aroma everyone can smell and adds to the statement your guaranteed to make when wearing pink.

Cheers!

A Look You Can Pull Off This Summer

When it comes to style, it is know doubt that the right side of my brain completely takes over and my creative and expressive side has no ceiling.

Longline garments are trendy and with trends it is common to set  rules as what should be accepted s the norm.

Try pairing a longline tee with a pair of  loafers to transcend the longline tee towards a more elegant appeal. Just remember to keep it simple. Oh yea, also try adding a fedora for extra saulce.

Deuces!

Jean Moments

I absolutely love experimenting with different hues of jean. Any shade of blue jean corresponds well, you just need to find the tone that works for you. Try combining a darker hue of blue with a lighter tinge of blue and a simple white t-shirt with  a flannel  of your choice wrapped around your waist. I jazzed it up a bit with a brown fedora and brown chelsea boots, but be creative there are many ways to incorporate your own identity within this outfit.

I hope this post serves you well! Be Inspired.

Got Smartstyle?

Hey fellas! Asos menswear has blessed us this season with the latest trend, smart pants. These pants have modern written all over them! There slim fit and cut close to the body and the cotton finish makes them perfect for the winter.

In this outfit, I combined my smart pants with a white dress shirt that I buttoned all the way up to my neck to elevate the look. Next, I layered it with a blue jean jacket and accessorized the look with a polka dot handkerchief and a brown fedora that corresponded with the outsoles of my shoes.

Stay Tuned!

Simple But Effective

Simplicity can be key when assembling your wardrobe. I love colors that contrast greatly and look good together. Today, I paired a red polka dot button down shirt with navy blue chinos. I decided to put red shoe strings in my wingtip dress shoes to add a little more detail to the outfit. Honestly, the moss green hat color isolates it from the red and blue garments, however the details in the red feather on the side of the fedora causes you to be oblivious to the color of the hat because it compliments the shirt and the shoestring so well. Remember, minor details can make and outfit!
